Each year on 28 December, South Australians gather at the Old Gum Tree down at Glenelg to celebrate Proclamation Day. The Prime Minister Julia Gillard gave a Proclamation Day Address, and after the formalities, everyone enjoyed live music and a BBQ by local community groups. It was a day of great ceremony, great importance, and great celebration!
